[Read this interview with Marissa to learn more about her work as a poet.]
Marissa Glover shares her thoughts more than necessary, which she considers a form of charitable giving. If it counted as a tax deduction, she’d be rich.
An editor and writer for various companies since 1999, Marissa now teaches writing at Saint Leo University. Marissa is also the founder and host of Friday Night Open Mic (follow on Twitter and subscribe to our YouTube channel), a local community event for anyone who wants to add beauty to the world. Performers (song, dance, instrument, stand-up comedy, poetry, storytelling…) interested in taking the stage should email Marissa at contactFNOM@gmail.com.
A co-editor of Orange Blossom Review and poetry editor at Barren Press, Marissa is often asked by friends and strangers to offer feedback on their work. As much as she might want to, she has to pay the bills like everyone else. Marissa does, however, offer manuscript services for creative writers. While similar to the professional editing work she’s been doing for nearly 20 years, these services are uniquely geared toward poets and fiction writers. For a small fee, Marissa will read your manuscript and provide you with specific feedback designed to take your writing to the next level. Email her at MarissaGlover@outlook.com for a price sheet and detailed information about the different options available.
This site is intended as a place for Marissa to keep track of her published work and for readers to find more of her writing. Her work has appeared in assorted print and online journals, books, and websites,* but her best work has always been on her parents’ refrigerator.
